Default March has been Madness!!

So, I've been playing poker for maybe two years. In that time I have been just barely over breakeven. But, for whatever reason, this year has been different. Significant gains in January and February. But this WEEK:

+$1700! Plus another $400 from online poker this month.

I know that's nothing for some of you guys, but for someone playing $.25-.50 online, and $1-2 live, I think that's pretty insane. A lot of that came from just tonight on a crazy heater day live. This week has really got me amped up on poker, considering I'm only a semi-part-time player, full time student. I'm taking my family to Vegas next week...can't wait to see what those tables are like!

Anyway, no real point to the story. Just super happy!

it's good to be happy and it's good to win money..regardless of the stakes you play, every winnings are cool...
but keep in mind that upswings can sometimes affect your play and fool you around...just stay focused, and keep playing your best game, and keep playing in stakes you feel comfortable... and you'll see, there will be more months/weeks like this..
however, congrats..and good luck for future winnings..

At some point, you'll hit a killer downswing (hopefully less than the $1400). Just don't let it affect good decisions. I guess if you've pretty much been break even the last two years, you are probably used to it though. But congrats, that is awesome!

Thanks for the words guys! Don't worry, I'm not letting it go to my head or anything, and I'm sticking to my limits right now. Just a really fantastic week. Mostly going to Vegas since next week is spring break and for once I have money to do something

I play at Chumash. Haven't gone to the casinos in LA yet. Chumash is about the same distance and I'm always in Santa Barbara so I usually go there.
