I agree, for obvious reasons, kickers arent important in non-flop-games.

The only way I could see you wanting to keep the kicker is if you were BB and there were otherrs in the pot and it was raised and you reraised it on a bluff.
This way people may think you actually have trips, and if you do happen to hit your ace, you'll probably beat out any other two pairs.

It also depends, is this limit or no limit?

Yeah, I would think the betting structure is pretty important -- I'm surprised nobody has asked yet. I'm not good at 5CD, but I agree with the above thinking (although it probably doesn't apply in this hand since we are in EP).
