Default NL 50 - 3 barrels?

Villain is a 36/24 with 33% fold to cbet, 4 AF and 11.1% 3bet, over not too many hands. Do we bet the river? If so, how big? You guys hate earlier streets?

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed)

saw flop

BB ($57.10)
UTG ($50.25)
Hero (MP) ($45.25)
CO ($50)
Button ($56.95)
SB ($71.95)

Preflop: Hero is MP with K, 10
1 fold, Hero bets $1.50, 1 fold, Button calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($3.75) 4, Q, A (2 players)
Hero bets $2.50, Button calls $2.50

Turn: ($8.75) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $5.75, Button calls $5.75

River: ($20.25) 3 (2 players)
Hero?

bet bigger.
if you bet the turn you are obligated to fire river as well, cause he is not folding the turn very often, but has a good chunk of hands that call turn, fold river.

usually just c/f turn though, with 2fds out your semi bluff range is gonna be big enough.

Does the 11% 3bet stat mean he's 3bet once in 9 opportunities? Yeah thought so, that's a shame.

His low fold to cbet sucks and probably inclines us towards betting all 3 streets because you're going to need to double to shift him most of the time (and as noted, on this board, if you bet the turn you have to keep betting). I don't know if I really want to be running a bluff at a kid who's liable to call down with QJ very often though. From his stats, he puts too much money in the pot with shit. So, go with the standard line, bet-fold flop, check-fold turn and evaluate the merits of a bet on the river when you get there.

But since you were asking about the river play specifically, with this action, bet.

Okay, thanks. He did in fact fold to the third barrel, but I guess that just means I had the best hand. Might've prevented him from bluffing me off my K high though.

My guess is you got him off of a weak queen or something like that. Maybe a busted draw. Either way, if you don't bet the river you have no business betting the turn.

And ya, bad spot to 3 barrel imo. bf flop c/f turn. His calling range is wide but your bluffing range is huge.
