Default SCOOP #2 Stakewatch Thread

This event is a 2-Day No Limit Hold Em Freezeout and begins at 17:00 EST. The 2-Day bit refers to the fact that the tournament will be paused at the end of level 44 (somewhere around 12 hours 30 minutes into the tournament), and will resume the following day at 17:00 EST with seats redrawn. We will start with 10,000 chips and the blind/ante structure is identical to the first event.

I will be playing the Low and Medium tournaments of this event. The Low is a $22 buy-in with a guarantee of $500,000. The Medium is a $215 buy-in with a guarantee of $2,000,000.

To stakers : You are encouraged to participate in this thread and offer your support. If you would like to sweat me, that is fine as well. The only thing I ask if you are sweating me is to keep the observer chat to a minimum. Absolutely nothing that could be construed as strategy should be said, and I would prefer that you not even say hi or good luck unless I am deep. I don't mean to be a dick, but it affects the perceptions of others at the table. If you would like to talk to me personally, I will be on IRC for that purpose.

To players : Post your chip counts and hand histories! This thread is more about the event then my stake, you are encouraged to participate. The more the merrier and all that.

GL.

I'll probably be playing the $22 version as the structure seems really good with the levels.

I don't know guys, I'm running into a bunch of stupid spots back to back to back in these.

I might have gotten leveled here, but hard to tell against the field in a $22.

Pretty dismal at the first break.

LOW - 1710

MED - 4070

Kind of a perfect storm of bullshit with the flush hand in the MED.

But I continue my trend of going deep in non-staked tournies. 3/21 in the $20k on Stars.

Anyone else shocked the $215 didn't easily cover it's guarantee? The Sunday Million gets 9,600 players sometimes. I expected this to have like 15,000.

edit: I guess 2-day event maybe unappealing to people with 9-5's, though making Day 2 in this event would be a nice problem to have.
