Default Flopped bottom 2 pair... Hand eval needed

Hi all,

Just joined the forum but have been reading here for a while. Had a hand today that sent me home and need some thoughts on how I should have played it differently.

Playing a live tourney today at an 11 handed table. Dealt 46o in the SB with 5 limpers in the pot at 100/200 blinds. 5300 in my stack. Called for the great pot odds, BB checked. Flopped 9 4 6 for bottom 2 pairs. 1400 in the pot, bet out 500 (too low, I know). Utg called, 3 folds, button raised to 1500. I called, utg called making pot 5900. Turn was a 3 for a rainbow board. Couldn't fathom any straight draws so I bet out 2k, really only concerned about pocket 9s. Utg called, button raised all in to 2600. I shoved all in, utg called and turned over JJ, button turned over TT so I had them both there. River brought another 3 and utg took it down.

Any input is much appreciated.

All your chips in the middle, one card to come, busting to 5 outs, likely to take down the side pot on 5 disadvantage outs, covering one
of your opponents. Anything wrong here? What's the frequency Kenneth?

what he said

if you got it in good chances are you usually played it right; it's the hands where you get it in bad that you should be posting

That said I like shoving the flop when the guy makes it 1500. He clearly isnt folding but you may lose his action if a scarecard hits the turn.

It depends on the position I play these in different ways -it is not necessarily the right way however mostly I try not to shove the flop because people hardly give up on TP. I do go for the shove on the turn when conditions are right. It doesn't work every time though.

huh? bottom two vs top pair is 3:1 favourite. if you can get the money in the middle, do it.

Thanks for all the input. I felt good about the way I played it at the time, just started questioning myself after I started counting up the outs if either player was on a larger pair. I do agree with swoop that next time I shove all in when raised.
