Hand too strong to r/f, too weak to r/c, too strong to open-fold since pushing is massively +EV, so, by process of elimination, we arrive at my favorite play

Whats the idea, we repop and stand pat the whole way? Draw one and pat? or play it normally and just bet the river and hope they fold?

Seb, if you're around, i'd actually like an answer on this one too since my TD is pretty bad

At 200/400 we have to do something maybe

At 2/4 we just fold most likely

Curious to hear from Seb though

I dont think you should bother doing anything but fold.

Certainly when you have blockers it should increase your likelyhood of snowing but snowing should not be your only plan for the hand.

Say you defend 8522K in the BB draw two (and villian draws two), and you get another 2 and a brick.

Now you could lead or ck/raise and stand pat.

meh I never folded a low quads in TD, I would cap and probably draw 1 and pat

Actually its probably more efficient at 2/4 than 2/400, ppl are probably more nitty

mm, at 2/4 people will draw against you with a bad 8, make a 987 and call down just in case you somehow have 9876 to their 9875. maybe this is just in mixed games. mixed games is where you go if you're universally bad at everything it seems.

at some point could we coax you into talking a little about the similarities between triple draw and blackjack and the strategy arising from this idea? it does seem that decisions on 3rd and 4th street are heavily influenced by your opponents chances of getting there/having got there, and i seem to recall you're a pretty solid blackjack player too.
