gamble harder.

i'm not so fond of the circus here, it's bigger than the old berkeley and "nicer", but it looks like someone set up a casino in a style bar.

drinks should be free in the casino
i think it is in the casino's best interest to have you drinking
that way you lose more money

Never thought of that did you eh?

So -EV

Also if you're only playing $5 online then you're not rolled for it, do you wanna bust out and then have to get staked like LordMushroom???????????? then end up having a tantrum over some software that's probably not going to make much of a difference anyway and even if it did you still wouldn't have the right to demand something that wasn't agreed upon before being stakes would you now?

Then you'd have to leave pokertips because of the shame and such negative rep then your wife and kids would probably leave you and you'd end up homeless with just a laptop and a neighbours wifi connection having to grind $1 SNGs just so you can buy some Vodka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if you run bad then all you'll be able to buy is Meths and that's health-EV so it's just baaaaaaaaaaaad maaaaan.

So yeah probably should avoid that tournament it's too life-EV you silly sausage!
You have to spread some reputation around before giving it to MikeAK47 again.

Playing live is rarely worth it for these little tournies. It's slow, you can only play one table and then even if you cash it won't be for much. The only reason to do it is the fun of playing socially, and judging by your preferred activities I think privacy might be more your style.

Default Worth it?

I play in a $10 dollar tourney every Friday. It usually draws 40 to 50 people and often times pays out the top 5 players. I have won several times there and raked in about $1000 playing. It is for a local charity so it's for a good cause. The problem, however, is that for $10, or $20 in your case, you'll draw A LOT of donkeys who do not take the game seriously, which is fine if they don't hit there cards when you have the better hand on the flop. It can be extremely frustrating though when they do hit with there crap cards. I mostly play in that tourney for the charity and because I like most of the people that play there.

Truthfully, to be a good card player you eventually have to leave the internet sites and play in some real tournaments. Even Tom Dwan left the internet world for the brick and mortar world. If you do play in a $20 tourney I don't recommend trying to play like Dwan, you'll probably lose most of the time.If you play just to pass the time and have fun, then get out and at and interact with some players, you may find that you enjoy it even more and may meet some good people in the process. You'll have plenty of time to masterbate later.
