Default NFL season

Hey guys, anybody with odds of the 2011 NFL season starting on time? My guess is a 60% chance of an ontime start. As long as Demoron Smith and Roger Goodell don't get in the way.

i would guess about 35% it starts on time. The two court cases remaining have likely outcomes. The first is the NFL's owners appeal of the the stay on the lockout, which is expected to get appealed (so the lock out continues) and the second court case is for the players to receive damages from the NFL (which they are expected to win, meaning they receive money and are able to last longer).

The best chance is if they actually make a deal, which is possible, but we'll see

The season is already behind, as teams should be determining rosters and working out in pads by now. There seems to be no end in sight to the litigation as three months in court time is extremely short. The better bet may be will there be football at all.

Yeah 60% is a little too optimistic. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail, but given the greed and stubborness of all involved, who knows. You would think with all the world's problems, these clowns could figure out how to divide 9 billion.

looks like the 8th circuit judge has told both sides that they were not going to like his ruling and a deal will be in both sides' best interests.

yeah AOE is probably wrong, OTAs are a big crock of S*** and are not important. Free agency is the only thing that matters that has been delayed IMO
