42% of all your money is not good bankroll management.

nothing serious i hope.

That leaves me with $1000 that I plan to use for my live bankroll and try to make as much as possible in April playing more solid ABC poker.
you are going to go broke an unacceptably high percentage of the time. if someone can give me a reasonably accurate sd/100 for a 1/2 live tag i can calculate this for you.

Should I buy in for $200 or $100 or $150 for more buyins? Any advice would be appreciated.
my advice would be to solve your financial woes with gainful employment rather than gambling.

you are probably not a winning player yet, even if you are your bankroll is very small and easily busted. play if and because you enjoy the game, and don't bet with anything you can't afford to lose.

Not really interested in online poker at this time.

What KC said.

6k is getting close to an acceptable 1/2 live bankroll its a pity you moved up way too soon and donked it off with bad BR management

If you have your heart set on live poker play 1/2 and don't move up until you have 8k+ and even then it should be a single buyin $500 shot at 2/5 then moving back to 1/2 if you fail, if you succeed only play 2/5 with your profits from the shot and keep an 8k or so buffer to play 1/2 on.

In your situation i'd try to get a job that doesnt suck tbh but if you're american good luck with that
