Default Another Deep Live hand

Hero ~11k
Villian ~13K

This was my NL first session ever with villian

However I have played many times with FL live.
There he is far to loose and to passive but not that horrible postflop.
He "says" he makes a living betting sports.

Villian bought in for 10k despite a 3k "max buy" rule. The others players said nothing.

10/20NL

Villian raises to $80 UTG
4 Callers

I call SB

Flop (pot = $500)

I ck,

Villian bets $360
4 folds.
I raise to $1250

Turn (pot = $3000)

I bet $2400
Villian calls

River (pot = $7800)

I am all in ~7k

To you think that this is a reasonable line with current stack sizes, or is the line to thin starting on the flop.

The turn here obviously made the turn/river play easy.
If it came out 2, 3. I'd play the same.

But I think on a lot of cards I am going to have to slow down.

Maybe find a ck fold on an ace turn.

Probably bet/fold turn on most cards. If turn is called ck-fold a lot of rivers expecting it to go ck-ck a lot.

Which is why I'm not completly sure ck raising the flop is best. But out of position it probably is.

Interesting on both accounts. I don't think I'd slow down that much but maybe I should. Good to know.

Really looks like villain has AA here (or AK). If he has KK it sucks for you but line seems fine to me. I might make it 2500-2600 on the turn to set up a lower pot % river shove but its fine regardless esp if turn is villain's decision street with AA and AK in which case I like your smaller turn sizing.

Results were that villian folded river. I assume he had AK and AA. Given how nitty live players respond to bets like this I am not sure the river shove is good (which might mean the flop raise is not great). A river ck fold to a shove might actually be better even though it will go ck ck I win ALOT.

I think the best adjustment is to make huge multistreet bluffs more often this deep live and show and after I have history in the game play hands like this for value.

I mucked.

Actually I think we could have another extended thread on showing vs mucking. My opinion is that you should almost never show, expect some occasional crazy bluffs.
