Bump it up for week 2

I'll be the first to state the obvious but it looks like New England is a strong play. Any others come to mind?

I don't like any of these games with any confidence other than the NE victory (well I like Houston as well but I already picked them). As much as I don't like to do it I am thinking I am going to have to take NE this week.

Best to Worst POSSIBLES:

NE vs. ari - No brainer. Arizona is starting Kevin Kolb. Next.

CIN vs. cle - This matchup is ranked high due to future value. CIN does not have another game in their schedule where you can pick them with confidence. They should beat cleveland at home. Joe Haden is suspended and Weeden looks like the second coming of Ryan Leaf.

and then there is a huge drop-off to these matchups:

NYG vs. tb - We have no idea how good the Bucs are and we have no idea how bad the G Men are. I don't care for this. But this is the type of game the inconsistent giants will usually win.

SD vs. ten - Gates is fine, the offense still looks competent and the Defense is decent. Tennesee might win this game at home but probably not on the road.

The rest:

SF vs. det - a rematch of Handshake-gate will be entertaining, but this is a coin flip. The lions don't run much, so it is all about how stafford plays against the SF defense.

GB vs. chi - the Packers might win, but they could also implode. Save GB for a better situation.

PIT vs. NYJ - Naw, the Jets arn't great or anything, but neither are the steelers. Revis is out but so is half of the steeler's linemen.

for the record, i am taking cinci. If i win this one, i can easily go deep in the pool when everyone else runs out of play off teams.

ah, gambling

again top notch analysis PJ, thanks. I'd steer clear of "the rest" catagory but any of the other choices looks good. Too early for gambling or looking ahead for me so, for the record, I'm taking the Pats

well, you will have to gamble at some point, but i agree the pats are the best choice.

I just like the chances Cinci smokes the Browns with their best player suspended.

Yeah I like the pick. Do the Browns even have a "best" player?
