Scare Card
Poker Glossary
A scare card is a card placed on the board that has the potential to significantly improve someone's hand. For example, if the board is Ah Kh 5d, a Th would be a scare card. That ten would complete both a flush draw or a straight draw. Scare cards often present excellent bluffing opportunities for players.
