Synopsis
The Cincinatti Kid (Steve McQueen) is a professional cardplayer. He journeys to New Orleans to play in the high stakes poker game of his life against Lancey Howard (The Man).
Poker Action
The game throughout the movie is five card stud and it is fairly realistic. It is interesting to watch how poker was conducted in a totally different era. The type of game, types of people involved, and the location of the poker games were totally different compared to today's modern poker scene. However, even back then, poker was considered a 'sport' because people were gambling on who would win the poker match like they would a basketball game.
