Sportingbet Buys Paradise Poker

SportingBet is a large, UK-based bookmaker that has been very successful in the online sports betting market. In fact, it is one of the few online gambling companies that is a publicly traded company. However, its poker room, which uses Boss Media software, has been lagging behind the other, large online poker rooms. In order to capitalize on the surging growth of the online poker market, SportingBet recently purchased Paradise Poker. The deal is reportedly worth $297.5 million. It is unclear what changes are in store due to this deal. The sites will gradually become more fully integrated.
