WSOP Circuit Event #7: Harrah's Atlantic City $10k NL Hold'em

WSOP, 2006-02-19, by TwoGun

Amidst a very popular World Poker Tour event, the latest World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Event failed to attract many of the game's top players to Atlantic City. Then again, the nine unknown final table participants in this event probably did not consider this a bad thing.

After 124 players battled for four days in a well-structured poker tournament, Delaware resident Abraham Korotki took down $433,000 for first place. Visiting from Denmark, Brian Jensen will return home with $240,000 for second place. Another international player, China's Herbert Cheng won $84,000 for fifth place.

In just two weeks, the next WSOP Circuit Event commences in San Diego. Expect to see more popular poker celebrities in this event, including defending champion Chris "Jesus" Ferguson.
