Bay 101 Shooting Star $10k NL Hold'em
WPT EVENT

The Bay 101 Casino in San Jose, California drew 502 entrants to its "Shooting Star" tournament. Nam Le outlasted the field to win the $1.1 million dollar first place prize. Le defeated local player Ravi Udayakumar heads-up, who won $630,000 playing at his home casino. Another Californian, Danny Smith, finished 3rd for a $340,000 pay day.

Former Main Event runner-up turned Vegas pro David Williams notched his second WPT final table appearance but had to settle for $280,000 and 4th place. Frenchman Fabrice Soulier won $240,000 for 5th. Actor Chad Brown continues to put up impressive finishes in his newfound career by placing 6th in this event. Well-known players "Action" Dan Harrington and "Chip" Reese both finished in the money.

There is only one WPT Event left before the $25,000 buy-in WPT Championship. Arnold Spee will look to defend his title in Reno, Nevada at the World Poker Challenge later this month.
