WSOP, 2006-05-14, by TwoGun

The latest WSOP Circuit event was held in the backyard of most poker professionals, Las Vegas. An impressive 209 players showed up to chase the $648,000 first place prize. Oddly, neither of the final two players were from Vegas. Instead, the top 2 finishers were both from Florida. John Spadavecchia outlasted the field to win the tournament. Sean McCabe took home $257,000 for second place. Also from Florida, Tony Cousineau finished 8th good for $58,000.

Vegas based professionals Ralph Perry and Blair Rodman also both finished at the final table. The next WSOP Circuit event will be held at Harrah's New Orleans in May.
