Harrah's New Orleans $10k NL Hold'em
WSOP CIRCUIT EVENT

A city ravaged by Hurricane Katrina last fall saw the support of the poker world during a recent World Series of Poker Circuit Event. Impressive by Circuit standards, 170 participants came to New Orleans to battle for a Circuit ring. World Poker Tour sensation Gavin Smith failed to defeat Peter Feldman heads-up. The little-known Feldman added $532,000 to his career winnings and a ring to his finger. Smith took close to $300,000 back to Las Vegas for second place.

Also making a money finish, poker superstar Phil Ivey doubled his buy-in after a 14th place effort. Poker pro David Singer finished 13th.

There remains just one Circuit Event this season before the WSOP kicks off in late June. Harrah's Lake Tahoe will host the final $10k event on June 16th.
