ESPN and Harrah's Agree to WSOP Contract Through 2010

Television, 2006-06-13, by TwoGun

Harrah's Entertainment Inc. recently announced a new deal made with ESPN. The incredibly popular show "World Series of Poker" will have a home at ESPN for at least another five seasons. It was also announced that for the first time, ESPN will air a live pay-per-view telecast of the $10,000 Championship Event final table.

The pay-per-view event has a suggested retail price of $24.95. Most Main Event final tables take in the vicinity of 12 hours to complete. Therefore the price for this pay-per-view event is pretty reasonable when you view it from a dollar-per-hour standpoint. To order the event, visit ESPN's pay-per-view website.
