2006 WSOP Event #16: $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha

The most prestigous Omaha event of the WSOP drew 214 entrants in just its second year on the schedule. The champion of last year's inagural $10,000 pot-limit omaha event, Rafi Amit, made another strong run this year with a 4th place finish good for $143,000.

Professional poker players continue to dominate this year's WSOP. The well-liked Lee Watkinson navigated through the sharky field to win his first WSOP bracelet as well as $655,000. Two other pros, Hasin Habib (5th for $122,000), and Mickey Appleman (9th for $40,000) also made the final table. Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu, and "Devilfish" Ulliot were some of the notable names who finished in the money.
