2006 WSOP Event #20 $1000 Seniors NL Hold'em

While poker is being increasingly dominated by young players, the Seniors Event at the WSOP drew well over 1000 entrants this year. This event limits the field to players who are at least fifty years old.

In the end, Clare Miller, a 77-year old woman from New Mexico, came out on top. Miller represents the first woman to ever win the Seniors Event at the WSOP. She took home $247,814 for her impressive finish.
