Tournaments, 2006-10-10, by Ozone

The Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City hosted the United States Poker Championship last week. The $10,000 championship event drew 261 entrants. The final two players that ultimately battled for the $878,000 first place prize are both familiar names in the online tournament poker scene.

The eventual winner of the event was former WPT runner-up Alex Jacob who plays as "Yahtzem" online. Jordan "iMsoLucky0" Morgan finished second to win the biggest cash of his career, $405,000. Another popular online player Shane "Shaniac" Schleger finished 9th which paid $40,000.

In a $1,000+$75 preliminary event, Men "the Master" Nguyen dominated the field of 251 to win $87,000.
