World Poker Tour Announces Unique TV Special

WPT, 2006-11-16, by Ozone

The popular Travel Channel show 'World Poker Tour' is producing a new special titled 'Fathers and Sons'. The show will feature six poker playing father/son duos. Each of the six sons will compete on the WPT stage. During the competition the fathers will be allowed to tag their sons and share advice, even in the middle of a hand.

The winning father/son combination will square off against each other with the victor receiving a seat to the WPT championship, a $25,000 value. Participants include Doyle and Todd Brunson, Barry Greenstein and Joe Sebok, Dick Van Patten and WPT commentator Vince Van Patten, as well as Cardplayer Magazine publishers Barry and Jeff Shulman. Professional Poker Tour commentator Matt Corboy will play substitute in the host stand while Vince Van Patten is on the felt.

Fathers and Sons will air on the Travel Channel on June 17th, 2007 (Father's Day).
