Ongame Network Poker Classic Championship Results

Tournaments, 2006-12-06, by Ozone

Even with a buy-in of $5,000, the Ongame Network Poker Classic drew 273 entrants. Ongame is a large network with several skins, the biggest of which is Poker Room. The online tournament was paused when just 45 entrants remained. These players were flown to Spain last weekend to play the conclusion of the tournament at Casino de Barcelona.

Team PokerRoom was represented well at the final table with five of their sponsored players competing for the $240,000 first place prize. Ultimately they fell short to UK player Stuart Fox who, along with the prize money, was awarded a $10,000 gold and ruby card protector trophy. American Ben Blair won $155,000 for second place. New Zealand was also represented at the final table; James Honeybone took $84,000 back down under after finishing in fifth place.

Poker Room does not accept real-money players from the United States.
