Yahoo Betting

Yahoo has created a joint venture with Betfair, an online betting exchange. A betting exchange is similar to a sportsbook but has one key difference. Instead of simply taking odds set by the house, bettors place wagers against each other, with the house charging a transaction fee.

The new joint venture will be known as Yahoo Betting. It is planned for a March launch, and it will be featured on various financial and sports pages throughout the Yahoo UK/Ireland network. For more information, check out this ZDNet Article.
