NBC Releases List of 62 Heads-Up Contestants

For the third straight year, NBC will be televising the National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Many remember watching Phil Hellmuth defeat Chris "Jesus" Ferguson in the inaugural season. Last year "Jesus" made a return trip to the champion match, only to suffer the same fate, this time to Ted Forrest.

This year's tournament will be held at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas from March 1st through 4th. Many of the popular players will be returning. Some new faces include world champions Jamie Gold and Joe Hachem as well as Hollywood figures Shannon Elizabeth and Don Cheadle. Familiar faces who won't be appearing in this year's tournament include Men "The Master" Nguyen, Dan Harrington, Jerry Buss, James Woods, and Layne Flack.

Two seats are yet to be filled for the tournament. These spots will be filled by one winner from an online satellite at NBC's website and one winner from a live satellite held February 10th at Caesar's Palace. The show will air on NBC in April.
