Big Bill in North Dakota

, 2005-02-25, by TwoGun

Online poker sites are currently licensed in a variety of jurisdictions. However, no online poker room is currently licensed and located in an American state. This may soon change. There is a bill being debated in North Dakota that would make it the first U.S. state to license online poker games. This bill passed the North Dakota house by a vote of 49-43. If this bill passes the North Dakota senate, online poker sites could soon be based in North Dakota. What effect this will have for internet poker players remains to be seen.
