Minnesota Poker

, 2005-03-02, by TwoGun

Most people who play and understand poker know that it is a game of skill. A bill in the American state of Minnesota is currently being pushed through the legislature that will formerly recognize Texas Holdem as a social skill game. This definition would allow for legal poker tournaments in the state, provided the prizes do not exceed $200. Oddly enough, this definition would also not place an age requirement on the game. This bill may mark another step towards the mainstreaming of poker. For more information, check out this Star Tribune Article.
