Higher Stakes No-Limit at Empire/Party
, 2005-03-02, by TwoGun
Empire Poker and Party Poker have long been one of the few poker rooms to not offer higher-stakes no-limit holdem games. The highest game available was just a $2-$4 blind game, and the maximum buyin for this game was $200 (50 big blinds). This annoyed many high stakes players and forced them to play elsewhere.
Apparently, they wised up. They have increased the maximum buyin for their no-limit/pot-limit games to 100 big blinds for both Texas holdem and Omaha. They have also added $3-$6 and $5-$10 no-limit/pot-limit games. These games are incredibly popular and seem to be very soft for such higher stakes games.
