Police Bust High-Tech Poker Scam In Atlantic City

Law, 2007-07-28, by Ozone

Police arrested four men for their connection in a poker scheme designed to drain unsuspecting participants of their money at Borgata in Atlantic City. The investigators said that the men set up a private poker game and used high-tech surveillance equipment to feed information to their inside-man at the table.

One of the men arrested was Steve Forte, author of Casino Game Protection, a comprehensive guide covering the intricacies of casino scams. Forte is the President of a Las Vegas consulting company that helps law enforcement catch casino cheats.

The scheme was connected only to a private poker game that did not take place on the gaming floor of the Borgata. Each of the four men have been released on bail and await court dates.
