Tonight (Sunday) at 9 PM ET, Empire Poker will be holding a $200k guaranteed tournament. The buy-in for the tournament is $250+$20. So far, only 171 people are registered for the tournament. This means that only $42,750 is in the prize pool. This means if the tournament occured right now, Empire would have to add $157, 250 to the prize pool. All prizes would be essentially quadrupled!
More than likely, a lot of people will register for the tournament tomorrow. However, it is highly likely that Empire will be adding money to the prize pool to match their guarantee.
Yesterday, Pacific Poker had to add $352,400 to meet their million-dollar guaranteed tournament. There have definitely been some great values out there for multi-table tournaments this weekend.
