PartyGaming and CryptoLogic Discuss Possible Merger
Business, 2008-10-21, by Ozone
The Financial Times is reporting that PartyGaming and CryptoLogic are in talks to merge their poker operations onto one network. CryptoLogic (software provider to online poker rooms such as Will Hill and Sun Poker) recently expressed an interest in partnering with a larger poker network. According to Poker Scout, CryptoLogic is the 19th largest online poker network in operation.
If completed, the deal would give a small boost to the player base on Party Poker. Formerly the largest online poker room, Party Poker has slipped to 4th place two years after exiting the U.S. market as a result of the UIGEA.
