Legal card rooms may soon be coming near the Arctic Circle. A state senator in Alaska is proposing to allow legal card rooms to operate in the state.
These card rooms would not be allowed to charge a rake. However, they will be allowed to charge a "taxable fee" per game. This is basically the same as a rake, except it is not a direct percentage of the pot.
