Party Poker WSOP Satellites Underway
Online Poker, 2009-04-06, by Ozone
Party Poker is adding a unique twist to online WSOP satellites. Their "Vegas Experience" package will send players to Sin City not for the Main Event, but for a Grand Canyon Trip, Hover Dam Trip, Speedway Experience, Red Rock Canyon Tour, or Las Vegas Night Strip Helicopter Tour. In addition to this excursion, players will also receive entry to a $1,500 buy-in event of their choice.
The "Vegas Experience" package is valued at $5.5k and comes with return flights for two (I guess you have to fly yourself there) as well as 7 nights hotel accomodation.
Now, on to the serious stuff.
This year's Party Poker Main Event package is valued at $12,000. It includes Main Event buy-in and $2,000 in cash for traveling expenses. Additionally, players will receive 7 nights of hotel accommodation. Since the hotel is not factored in to the value of the package, it is effectively an overlay in each satellite.
The longest lasting Party Poker qualifier at this year's Main Event will receive free entry into the 2010 Main Event.
Players of all bankroll levels can get in on the action. Party Poker is holding qualifiers priced between $2 and $172 to qualify for a twice-weekly $640 event where one in 20 players will receive a Main Event package.
Get in on the action now at Party Poker and win your seat to the 2009 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas for as little as $2. PokerTips readers who use bonus code TIPS500 can receive a first-time deposit bonus of 100% up to $500.
