2009 WSOP Update: Event #50
WSOP, 2009-06-29, by Ozone
Never since the poker boom has the WSOP been seemingly dominated by just a few players. Yesterday, Greg 'FBT' Mueller became the fourth player to win more than one bracelet in this year's series. He joins Brock Parker, Phil Ivey, and Jeff Lisandro (who has three bracelets) as repeat winners this year.
Both of Mueller's wins came in a limit hold'em tournament. Earlier this series, he won the $10,000 Limit Hold'em World Championship over a field of 185 players. Yesterday's win came in the $1,500 limit hold'em shootout that attracted 571 players.
These bracelets are Mueller's first at the WSOP. He has two other 2nd place finishes from prior years.
