EPT Season #6: Prague €5,250 No-Limit Hold'em

EPT, 2009-12-08, by Ozone

Jan Skampa picked a cool time to become the first Czech winner in EPT history: he did it on the stop in his hometown of Prague. The 23 year old won €682,000 for his efforts.

A field of 584 turned out for the €5,250 buy-in event in Prague. This event has seen an increased field size each year. A total of seven countries were represented between the eight final table participants. Czech Republic was the only country with multiple representatives, Anthony Roux finished 4th for €171,000.

Eyal Avitan from Israel was 2nd for €454,000. Frenchman Stefan Mattsson took 3rd for €255,000.

The next stop on the EPT is after the New Year for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas. This is usually the most popular EPT tournament in terms of field size.
