EPT Season #6: PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em
EPT, 2010-01-12, by Ozone
In a sign that poker is alive and well, 1,529 players journeyed to the Bahamas last week for the $10,000 buy-in PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The event's $2.2 million first place prize went to 19 year old Harrison Gimbel. A day before the Main Event started, Gimbel won his seat in a $1,000 buy-in satellite. Not a bad return on investment!
Losing to Gimbel was another American Tyler Reiman who secured $1,750,000 for his finish. Barry Shulman, who won the WSOP Europe Main Event last fall, finished 3rd for $1,350,000.
The next European Poker Tour event will take place in Deauville, France later this month with a €5,300 buy-in.
