EPT Season #6: Copenhagen $6,800 No-Limit Hold'em
EPT, 2010-02-24, by Ozone
The EPT Copenhagen Main Event recently concluded. With many of the game's top pros in Las Vegas for the inaugural running of the North American Poker Tour, the field of 423 players was thin on big names.
Anton Wigg won the 37,250 Danish Kroner buy-in (about $6,800) event for $672,000. Wigg, from Sweden, was one of six Scandinavian players to finish in the top nine. Runner-up was Francesco De Vivo from Italy who took home $416,000.
Four Danish players represented their home country at the final table; the highest finisher among them was Richard Loth who took 5th place for $130,000.
The next EPT event will take place next week in Berlin. This will be the first time the EPT German Open has been held in the nation's capital; historically, the event was held in Dortmund.
