Sports Illustrated Articles

, 2005-05-26, by TwoGun

Online poker is sweeping the world. More and more people are starting to play poker online for real-money. While this is an enjoyable hobby for most, the prospects for increased gambling addiction worry many. In particular, many worry about increased problem gambling among college and university students.

Recently, the magazine Sports Illustated launched a series of articles about internet poker. These articles particularly focus on college-aged online poker players. These articles are fairly decent and provide an overview of the appeals of online poker but also mention some of the potential drawbacks. They go into detail about topics such as Chris Moneymaker, the movie Rounders, and whether online poker is safe and legal.

Most of the articles are free, but some of them require a subscription to Sports Illustrated to view.
