As many as two, but perhaps only one, of the following ten finalists will be named for induction into the Poker Hall of Fame later this month:

- Annie Duke
- Barry Greenstein
- Jennifer Harmen-Traniello
- Linda Johnson
- John Juanda
- Marcel Luske
- Jack McClelland
- Tom McEvoy
- Scotty Nguyen
- Huckleberry Seed

In order to be considered for induction, each candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

- A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
- Be a minimum of 40 years old at time of nomination.
- Played for high stakes.
- Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers.
- Stood the test of time.
- Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results.

The list of nominees was determined by a fan vote at WSOP.com. Now, the living 18 Hall of Fame members and a 17-person media panel will vote to determine the 2011 inductee(s) to the Poker Hall of Fame.
