Poker Pro George Lind Nearly Accumulates One Million VPPs at PokerStars in Three Weeks

Oddities, 2012-05-21, by Ozone

PokerStars Team Online Pro George 'Jorj95' Lind recently tweeted a pic of his VIP Player Points (VPPs) balance at the site he represents. It's an insane number. In just three weeks of May alone, Lind has racked up a VPP total of 871,668.

To reach the top level of PokerStars' VIP program, Supernova Elite, a player needs to earn one million VPPs over the course of a year. The feat is considered by many to be a unique achievement that requires an insane amount of dedication to grinding online poker. That Lind, who now has over 2,000,000 VPPs on the year, was nearly able to accumulate the required VPPs for Supernova Elite in a span of three weeks is astonishing.

Lind commented along with the tweeted pic, "I have more VPPs than you." That certainly seems like a safe assumption as it's hard to imagine anyone could play more poker. The American pro who is leaving his home in Vancouver, Canada this week to head to Vegas for the World Series of Poker primarily plays high-stakes turbo sit-'n'-go's at PokerStars.
