2012 WSOP Event #18: $2,500 Razz

WSOP, 2012-06-11, by Ozone

Phil Hellmuth has extended his resume as the most dominant player in WSOP history by winning his 12th bracelet in Event #18: $2,500 Razz.

Hellmuth entered the final table of the event which began with 309 players second in chips. He patiently overcame some tough competition which included Brandon Cantu, Scott Fischman, and Barry Greenstein.

Bracelet number twelve has taken Hellmuth a while to win. His last victory at the WSOP came in a $1,500 no-limit hold'em event in 2007. Last year, Hellmuth had three runner-up finishes in bracelet events.

This is the first of his twelve WSOP victories to come from a non-hold'em event.

Here is a list of the final table finishers:

1st: Phil Hellmuth - $182,793
2nd: Don Zewin - $113,024
3rd: Brandon Cantu - $74,269
4th: Scott Fischman - $54,248
5th: Brendan Taylor - $40,167
6th: Barry Greenstein - $30,150
7th: Michael Chow - $22,945
8th: Jeff Mistiff - $17,693
