Full Tilt Poker Receives License, to Relaunch November 6th

Online Poker, 2012-10-09, by Ozone

In less than one month, Full Tilt Poker will be back online. That announcement was made by Rational Group, operators of PokerStars and new owners of Full Tilt Poker. The company will repay $184 million owed to Full Tilt's non-US customers.

News of Full Tilt's return follows the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission's (GSC) decision to award the site with a gaming license. According to a Rational Group press release, Full Tilt was awarded a license following "thorough scrutiny" of the proposed Full Tilt Poker operations.

PokerStars' history as a stable gaming operator based out of the Isle of Man surely helped Full Tilt's licensing process. Said GSC CEO Steve Brennan, "Full Tilt Poker's application was strengthened by the fact that their new owners and management team are known to us and have an impeccable record of compliance with the Isle of Man's regulatory requirements."

Full Tilt Poker will remain headquartered in Dublin but its servers will now be based in the Isle of Man to comply with GCS regulations.
