Sixty-two year old Andre Boyer's best poker accomplishment was a 6th place finish in the 1996 <a href="">Main Event<A>. In Event #33, Boyer bested that feat by winning the first WSOP event of his career. The win paid a healthy $682,810 to the Canadian champion. Boyer makes a living off of commentating WSOP events in French for a Canadian TV station.

Poker pro Matt Glantz finished 2nd and won $364,620. It was Matt's fourth cash of this year's WSOP. European pro John Duthie was eliminated in 9th place and earned $55,750.

Berry Johnston tied Phil Hellmuth for 49 career cashes at the WSOP by finishing 22nd in this event. Two former Main Event runner-ups, Dewey Tomko and Julian Gardner, also monied in this event.

More information about WSOP events can be found at the official World Series of Poker Website.
