Poker Players Featured at NY Festival

, 2005-09-26, by TwoGun

The New Yorker Festival hosted a ""High Rollers Steak Dinner" this year. Forking out $200 a plate, over 100 people sat and listened to several prominent poker players talk about their game.

Doyle Brunson talked about how poker has evolved over the years. Thirty years ago, he was embarrassed when people asked him what he did for a living. Nowadays, he's a celebrity.

The atmosphere was lively at times, perhaps because there was an open bar.
