Poker Players Alliance
, 2005-10-05, by TwoGun
While the popularity of poker has surged in recent years, there hasn't been an organized group that fights for the interests of poker players. Casinos and card rooms lobby for their own interests, but no group has existed solely to serve poker players.
A new group called the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has formed to lobby for poker players. Their chief concern seems to be making poker as legal as possible for United States citizens.
The PPA's board of directors boasts Linda Johnson, nicknamed the First Lady of Poker. In addition to being a successful poker player, Johnson has worked on many poker projects, such as the Card Player cruises.
