Paradise Abolishes Disconnect Protections

, 2004-09-26, by TwoGun

Paradise Poker has abolished disconnect protection (also known as "all-ins") for all of their real-money games. In order to prevent players against disconnections, online poker rooms will generally allot players a certain amount of disconnect protections. If a player becomes disconnected, they are considered "all-in" for the hand at that point.

However, Paradise Poker received complaints about people abusing their all-ins and decided to get rid of that practice. Most other poker rooms have all-ins for fixed-limit games, and some poker rooms have it for no-limit/pot-limit games
