2005-2006 WSOP Circuit Event #3: Caesar's Indiana $10k NL Hold'em

, 2005-11-07, by TwoGun

The WSOP Circuit Events have given small riverboat cardrooms the opportunity to host $10k buy-in tournaments that attract the world's finest poker players. The state of Indiana got its first taste of major tournament poker in early November when Caesar's Indiana hosted the 3rd WSOP Circuit Event of the season. Indiana proved to be a popular venue for poker, as over 900 players showed up for a preliminary $300 buy-in no limit hold'em event.

The Main Event, $10,000 buy-in no limit hold'em, attracted 127 entrants. Some familiar names finished at the top. Houston resident Vinnie Vinh added to his impressive career numbers by winning the $437,000 first place prize. Poker legend Men 'the Master' Nguyen lost to Vinh heads-up but won $243,000 for the impressive showing. Ron Hargrove won $133,000 for 3rd.

The next WSOP Circuit Event starts November 9th at Paris/Bally's in Las Vegas.
