Empire Poker To Sue Party Poker

, 2005-11-21, by TwoGun

In mid-October, Party Poker unilaterally made a decision to move its players to its own platform. This left its former partners, such as Empire Poker and Eurobet, on a much smaller poker network.

Since the split, Empire Poker's stock price has took a huge hit since it is now part of a much smaller poker network. After the split, Party Poker began negotiations to purchase Empire Poker, though these negotiations have collapsed.

In the aftermath of a failed takeover agreement, it appears that Empire will be suing PartyGaming, the company that owns Party Poker, over its decision to move its players off of their joint network.
