2005-2006 WSOP Circuit Event #5: Showboat Atlantic City $10k NL Hold'em

Taxi driver turned poker pro Chris Reslock justified his decision of quitting his day job to become a poker pro by winning $335,000 in the latest WSOP Circuit Event. The event was held in Reslock's backyard, the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The fifth Circuit Event of the season drew 96 entrants. Reslock's road to the ring was not an easy one, as world class player John Juanda put up a long battle but eventually had to settle for the second place payday of $186,000.

Juanda was by far the most recognizable name at what, for the most part, was a final table full of unknowns. Nick Schulman was the only noteworthy player aside from Juanda. He finished in 4th place to earn $74,000.

This was the last Circuit Event of 2005. The events continue after the holidays at the Grand Casino in Tunica, Mississippi.
